FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1.- What happens to my Copyright on the works that I upload to Audiolander?

First, you will always remain the author of the works uploaded to AUDIOLANDER. By the contract you sign with us, you give permission for the synchronization of your work (insertion in audiovisual productions). In addition, you authorize us to administer your work in front of author societies in the world, such as the SCD. All this in exchange for royalties or royalties that you will receive, according to the contract. About the registration of the work in copyright offcie, we can do it, for the convenience of our composers, according to results and permformance in AUDIOLANDER. Of course, you can always directly register your work in the copyright of the Ministry of Education.

2.- Why is the store of works for Audiovisual Producers different from the Composers Portal, which I enter with my password?

AUDIOLANDER uses two portals, separate and independent.

One is focused exclusively on composers and we call it Composers Portal, for which we will surely already send you their web address, username and password. In this Composers Portal each composer has a secure area where he uploads his tracks and manages his data and incomes received.

The other Portal is the Store itself, which is focused exclusively on customers, that is, Audiovisual Producers and Filmmakers, from all over the world. This is the AUDIOLANDER store itself.

AUDIOLANDER reviews and selects the works from the aforementioned Composers Portal and decides which works are exhibited in the store and in what way.

Regarding the commercialization of the synchronization rights of the works, AUDIOLANDER performs it through this online store, where customers from all over the world (audiovisual producers and filmmakers) can listen to demonstrations (demos with an audio stamp) of the tracks, select the desired track and, upon payment, download it online.

3.- Who defines the price at which the synchronization licenses of my works are sold? What are those prices?

The prices are defined by AUDIOLANDER according to 3 criteria: The type of Use License (how the work will be used), the duration (mins and secs) and the permanent analysis of the Market.

4.- According to the contract, Audiolander informs that legally what they do is the commercialization of Synchronization Licenses for my music. What does that consist of?

Synchronization licenses authorize an Audiovisual Producer or Filmmaker to use a Musical Work within an Audiovisual Work. This license only authorizes the insertion and is independent of the rights and royalties obtained for other reasons such as the public broadcast of the work, which is monitored by copyright organizations (PROs), such as the SCD in Chile, a matter in which, according to the contract, we will represent you.

5.- How do you spread the Audiolander store to mass visitors and get my music to be sold?

The main work and investment that Audiolander carries out is the publicity, promotion and dissemination of this sales portal, in order to promote the greatest number of customers visiting the online store and learning about your works. For that we use alliances and various advertising media, both traditional and digital. The latter includes Face-to-Face Activities, Events, Social Networks and Internet Advertising.

6.- What happens if my music is on Itunes or on Spotify?

Spotify and Itunes are platforms aimed at end consumers, who pay to listen to the works. AUDIOLANDER is a platform oriented to Audiovisual Producers and Filmmakers from all over the world, who buy licenses to insert music into their works. There is no problem on this situation.

7.- What kind of music should I compose to be successful at Audiolander? Instrumental, Vocal? Short, long-lasting?

We invite you to upload as many works as you have, as this improves the chances of your works being selected and therefore the chances of generating income. We remind you that AUDIOLANDER reviews and selects which works will finally go to the online store.

It is important to consider that if you compose thinking about types of audiovisual scenes, it will be more likely that your music will be selected by Audiovisual Producers.

Audiolander recommends you compose thinking about moments or situations that occur in an audiovisual work. Examples: Suspense, Horror, Sensuality, Persecution, Sad moment, Presentation curtain, Movie ending, etc. All of the above in various versions of duration (from 3 minutes to 5 seconds) and instrumentation. This improves the possibility that your work fits well with those that the Audiovisual Producer is looking for.
